Student Research Symposium - October 17, 2014!!!
Last year’s first department student research symposium (second year students presenting their completed first year research projects) was such a success that a decision has been made to invite department alumni to next year’s session. We’d like to show off our students’ accomplishments and interesting research! In order to do that, the student research seminar will be held on the Friday of IU Homecoming weekend, which will be October 17th. As that is about 6 weeks earlier than expected, I wanted to give all of the current first year graduate students and their advisors plenty of notice. The final, first year project papers are still not officially due until December, but it obviously would be to our advantage to have students try to finish their projects and present the most polished and complete posters they can in mid-October.
